I have used AVG in the past and was not impressed(I caught a nasty).
Then I switched to Avast(my connection got hosed one too many times
because of false-positives). Good thing I don't update all my systems at
the same time. Then I installed CA(it let another nasty in). Since
installing AntiVir-no problems (and I don't mind clicking an OK button
once a day for top-notch protection). I run David Lipman's MULTI_AV tool
once a month to make sure systems are clean.
I have a couple of questions for you. What security measures have you
taken so far? For example, have you turned off un-needed windows
services? I see you use Outlook Express,do you know about alternative
e-mail clients and browsers that are more secure then those supplied by
Microsoft? What AntiSpyware program(s) are you using now? Are you using
a router and/or firewall? Are you using any type of HIPS software?
